This review is from: Roxio Easy VHS to DVD (Mac) (DVD-ROM)
Please don't bother with this software. Save your time and money.

The title Easy VHS to DVD is very, very misleading

The time taken to capture the video is "real time"... no problem there... very easy.

But then if you want to edit the file and add chapter markers you need to allow about 2 hours to transfer a 1 hour video capture to iMovie, then you need to do the job (which depends on how quickly you pick up using the software, it's fairly simple).

You need to edit the file in iDVD to make it look "professional" with menus and chapters, etc. That takes time, too.

Then when using iDVD to produce your disc, allow about 3 1/2 hours to burn a 2 hour dvd.

I really have got better things to do with my time than this.

Roxio say just transfer your captured file to Toast 10 Titanium, but that does not allow any editing or adding chapter markers.

If I had my time and money again I would buy a VHS / DVD combo unit and just copy one to the other and save myself hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and ...

But this is simply the painful reality of working with video - it consumes a huge amount of time and hard drive space and there really is no way around it. It's just the nature of the beast.
