Good, but not great,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea (Paperback)
I bought this book because I saw it in a shop and the artwork on the cover instantly drew me to it. His style and the characterisation of the characters on the front page is a great illustration to depict North Korea. I'd also just finished reading 'Nothing to Envy' which I thought was incredible, a real insight into North Korean lives. Unfortunately, this graphic novel doesn't really deliver on that front. While it is an enjoyable, interesting story of one European's adventures in Pyongyang, he doesn't see much of the rest of North Korea, the parts which aren't for show. I guess I was hoping for something a bit more like that.
