Oh dear, what an half-education can do ...
That beauty is real (= objective) is a Platonic concept, whereas "positivism" only applies to a narrow, reductionistic concept that philosophy has long ago discarded but, unfortunately, has been reanimated by evolutionist thinkers.
"Old-fashioned" does not apply, obviously, since beauty has nothing to do with fashion (intellectual or otherwise).
"Classical" - is now a term of abuse?
