Good daylight bulb for photography.,

This review is from: Trumpet-Type Daylight Energy Saving Bulbs For Photography 35W (175W equivalent), 5500K, E27 Bulb 220V (Electronics)
The bulb reaches its maximum brightness almost immediately when turned on, and my colorimeter reports a color temperature of 5300 K. I find it well suited to illuminate a subject to be photographed, and also to check colors and tones of prints against a calibrated and profiled display, or against the subject. I don't know what its CRI is, but for what it costs, and given it fits in common lamp fixtures, it is a convenient solution to me. Also, given the particular spiral shape and size of the bulb (approx. diameter 9cm), it is by itself a somewhat diffused light source, as opposed to a point light source.
