I bought this book due to the strength of the other reviews and because I needed just that little bit more confidence in CSS.
I'm pleased to confirm other reviewers glowing recommendations, with one slight quibble (hence the 4 stars rather than 5)...
Some of the time the author is describing coloured webpages or HTML elements with coloured backgrounds or text, whilst the graphics in the book are all monochrome! I found it difficult to distinguish some of the shades of grey that the examples were rendered in. Low marks to the publisher for skimping in this way.
One major benefit that this book delivers is a very useful description of font families and why and where you would use them. As I have not seen this seemingly minor topic covered elsewhere, I was pleased to finally have it all explained to me.
I would have liked to have seen more material on how the author actually starts styling a website in practice, although the example of using '*' to style everything with zero padding/margins/etc was also good enough to justify the purchase price.
A general point to all CSS users is to combine your stylesheets with the jQuery library, for providing far more animation and dynamics than is available with CSS alone.
