Nice Star Wars tie-in, but at a premium,
This review is from: Angry Birds Star Wars (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Angry Birds Star Wars is a welcome addition to consoles for gamers who don't have a tablet, but the increased price and lack of portability make it a little less tempting.
On the plus side, the humour is appealing and the game treats Star Wars with the sort of loving detail it deserves, with a range of settings from the original trilogy including Tattooine, the Death Star, Hoth, Dagobah, and Cloud City.
There is plenty of content ported over from the original game, as well as some new levels. The birds have been transposed into their Star Wars counterparts with success and each have an ability to aid your destruction, such as Luke's lightsaber being able to cut objects, Obi-Wan can Force Push and Han Solo fires his blaster. This adds to the strategy so you can quickly put together more precise chain reactions.
Unfortunately, there are a few aspects that make it a worse deal than its mobile counterpart. It is a lot more expensive on Xbox 360 and other consoles. There is not the same sense of immediacy without touch controls and the co-op mode is worse than single-player with taking turns.
If you haven't played it before and you want to do so on your Xbox 360, you'll probably get enough value out of it over time, as the gameplay encourages you to replay levels to get a better score, but for everyone else, there are better games for the price.
