Customer Review

on 27 August 2009
The Afghan is a sort of a sequel to the fist of god ,which was a superb thriller and a match for Day of The Jackal.
The Fist of God had numerous twist and turns which kept the reader guesssing as to what was going to happen right to the end. It is one of my favourite books. I was therefore looking forward to reading The Afghan, but I put of doing so ,for fear of being disappointed and how right I was. The Afghan the exact oppposite of the Fist of god, poor plot ,slow paced, predicatble and shallow characters.I agree with other reviews that this was hastily written at the behest of Forsyth's publishers wishing to cash in on the war of terror. Better is expected from Frederick Forsyth. This effort simply failed to deliver.
