This is a blow-by-blow account of Operation Anthropoid, researched as thoroughly as possible and driven by the author's personal interest in Czechoslovakia. It's a translation from the French original but doesn't seem to suffer from it.
The very short chapters make it an easy book to dip in and out of and the style is matter-of-fact (including the author's own insecurities when writing the book) but still retains suspense and menace.
The only confusing point is the Czech names, which are difficult for English speakers; there are also many minor characters with the same surname, as the author wryly observes, but he hasn't tried to change history.
