Total Waste Of Money,
This review is from: The Best Of/Break Up The Concrete (Audio CD)
How the once mighty have fallen,First the new cd "Break Up The Concrete" the only words that spring to mind to describe this are:boring, awful and insipid. What on earth has happened to the band since the excellent "loose scew" they seem to have run out of ideas, and the production is very flat and uninspired. As for the greatest hits WHY ? There are already greatest hits available from the band, and if you are a fan like me stick to the career overview "Pirate Radio",its much better value .

The production is 'flat'? It is meant to be an unplugged sounding, acoustic and drum led set. That is the point.
The best of album will help encourage casual fans of the band to buy back into their music again.
It's a quality album, reflected by the fact that it made the Top 40 of the U.S Billboard 200, being the first Pretenders album to do so since Get Close in 1986 and their highest charting album since Last of The Independents in 1994.
