Well, of course I love it - I wrote it (no sock-puppetry for me!) It's also about something very important to me: it centres on an Elizabethan woman who is forced to act as a male lawyer to survive in a world which would not even allow her to be a witness in court and certainly would not let her qualify as a lawyer under any circumstances. This book is about a serial killer of the whores (or punks) of Shakespeare's London and the clash between the public world of men and the secret world of women. Originally the ambiguous James Enys turned up as a character in one of my Sir Robert Carey crime novels for Poisoned Pen Press - "A Murder of Crows" - but she was too good a character to stay there and had to be given her own book. More to follow.
