Chris. Just a normal man with a normal life who has a normal job who has a normal wife and a normal pet cat and a man who likes the normnal drink now and then. This amusing story charts Chris's demise into alchoholism, without him realising or accepting it of course, as his life goes from bad to worse. Then even worse. Andrew Holmes manages to bring all the characters to life with some excellent and, at times very very funny writing. We sympathise with Christopher sewell, at the same time thanking god that it could never happen to us. could it? This is a brilliant and light hearted look at alcoholism and our fascination with celebrities, and our underlieing desire to be like them. Cant wait for Holmes next novel if it is anywhere near as fantastic as this one.
