I bought this book after we had had great sucess with the one that covers Cumbria . However, we found that the majority of the walks were very short - only a couple of miles. The area that this book covers is vast so if you are on holiday and only based in one location you won't have that many walks to choose from. As well as the book you will need a decent OS map because some of the instructions aren't that clear. However, because the walks are so short you may struggle to mark the walks on. Our favourite was walk 22 Ardkinglass Woodland Garden. You have to pay to get in, but it was worth it to see Britains tallest tree! The kids (aged 2 and 5) were easily able to manage the walks although some are alongside very steep drops so you need to keep a very watchful eye in places. All in all a great series of books for people who want to get out and about with little children.
