A great book here from the diminutive Ms Paige, as she resists any gossip about her personal life, choosing to concentrate on her dazzling career instead.
Elaine guides us through the various shows she has been in, from early appearences in the likes of Hair, The Boyfriend and Grease, her acclaimed performance in Evita to the big budget "mega-musicals" of the 80s and 90s and beyond.
Elaine's writing style is easy and natural, and she is never shy about discussing the low points in her career, whilst never being too self-congratulatory when talking of the highs. Accompanied by a great selection of photographs from across the years, this is an absolute must have for any Elaine Paige fan, or even anyone interested in a snapshot of how musical theatre has progressed over the last four decades.
