Plain and Simple,
This review is from: Awareness (Paperback)
A.De Mello takes the compications out of spirituality, looking at it all from a pshycological perspective, he says that awareness is the way to spiritual enlightenment. Continuously throughout the book he keeps repeating the words (Awareness, Awareness, Awareness) as the basic underlying concept of all religions. He can be down to earth and humorous and also serious when he needs to be. Overall this book clears up what awareness really is and what it means to be spiritually aware. A good companion for this book would be THE ONE which carries a message that brings the awareness process to life. Both are all about simplifying the enlightenment process, getting back to brass tacks and taking a good look at the mind to uncover what is really important!

A pity the man does not find Christ Jesus Lord enough! As Benedict XVI stated as a cardinal in 1998, "His works, which almost always take the form of brief stories, contain some valid elements of oriental wisdom. These can be helpful in achieving self-mastery, in breaking the bonds and feelings that keep us from being free, and in approaching with serenity the various vicissitudes of life.... BUT THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIAN!"

bravo KC!!!! they are not christian!!!!: ) in agree with u , Jesus Buddha, Mohammed they all say more less about the same thing: peace, love, generosity, selflessness etc...so I chose Jesus Christ, because He is my LOrd, (and I do not want to break His 1 Commandment.)Just because the author is a jesuit it does not mean whatever he says is true or approved by Catholic church and Jesus Himself,Myself I believe in God, if I looked to God through the eyes of priests I would be an atheist!!!!! how many of them are unworthy to be Jesus's apostles in the Church!how many of them serve satan rather than God
even worse because under the pretense of the religious- more damage done on purpose to mislead poeple, lets dont forget we live in the age of antichrist!
