Ok but not great,
This review is from: Sony MDR-NC40 High Quality Noise Cancelling Headphones (Electronics)
I guess for the price they are fine. The noise cancelling works well on the train and on airplanes. But I find them useless if you're walking. First you can here yourself walking. Secondly a slight breeze turns into a force 10 gale when the noise cancelling is switched on rendering music unlistenable. I find myself switching it off, which kind of defeats the point. I imagine you have to shell out serious money to get proper noise cancelling. If you need them just for planes and trains I would recommend them. But not if you intend to do a lot of walking with them.
