Customer Review

on 26 March 2010
The location for this movie is now the UK. The book was written about a South African Girl's School, St Andrew's in Bedfordview, Johannesburg by ex-pupil Sheila Kohler. The name "cracks" refers to the slang used at the school to describe having a crush on a teacher or pupil ("she is cracked on ..."). The setting of the storyline in Britain some 20 years earlier than the events in the novel is most appropriate for the culture of the school at the time.

An ex-St Andrean.
