Terrible, steer clear.,
This review is from: Dungeon Siege III: Limited Edition (PS3) (Video Game)
If this game was called 'The bland quests of four generic heroes: Tales of what could have been' then I'd give this game 5 stars based purely on the publishers honesty in the title.
Fact is, for Dungeon Siege fans such as myself and many others, this is a tragic let-down.
I don't like to preach about how consoles have ruined PC games, or any of that tripe, but the fact is such that this game is so much more basic than the releases of 5 years ago that I could only question why!?
The storyline is cookie-cutter rubbish, and the 4 (unchangable) hero choices are terribly bland. Customization? Forget it, items just get better and better as you go on, there's no item sets or legendary loots to be had. Simply put, this is NOT what it should have been.
The game is very slow, doesn't run smoothly (at a guess I'd say 24fps) and the controls are terrible. Factor in the locked down camera angles, and the frustration mounts.
I don't like to be negative, and it really pains me to put such a hurting on the Dungeon Siege name, but as I see it, the name really doesn't mean anything anymore with this series...
