My husband bought me a Kindle last Christmas- I've waited this long to review it because I thought it would take a while to get used to- it doesn't. While it's not a complete replacement for paper books (there's something about owning a copy of your favourite book that's special), I can completely recommend it for the following reasons: 1. travelling- the obvious benefit, you can take hundreds of books and documents away with you rather than just a few 2. reading in bed- more lightweight than a book, it's more comfortable to read with- also, if you buy a cover with a light you don;t disturb anyone! 3. free downloads, the ability to sample the first chapter of books for free- I've saved a lot by trying before I buy! 4. The battery lasts ages- weeks or even months, and doesn't take long to fully charge. 5. Yu can buy books on the go with the 3G or on wifi- very handy in the unlikely event you run out of something to read 6. Free internet browsing- I really apreciated this feature sitting by the pool on holiday this summer- it can be a bit slow with graphic heavy websites, but still handy for email.
