5.0 out of 5 stars pleased so far, 28 May 2011

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Lenovo G570 15.6 inch Laptop (Core i5-2410M, RAM 4GB, HDD 500GB, DVDRW BT, Windows 7 Home Premium) - Black (Personal Computers)
mine arrived this morning, was pleased to see there wasnt a huge amount of software pre-installed, had no problem removing the software i didnt want(my old sony actually wouldnt let me remove half the programs it came with). had it running a couple of hours now, already got it connected to 2 displays running on 1080p playing video on one and browsing the other and no slowdown at all so far.
this laptop has a good amount of connections and the keyboard seems nice, and dont let the 'tank' review put you off, its not a bulky laptop at all but it feels well built, very quiet as well. haven't had a chance to properly test the built in graphics, tho bench tests from reputable sites claim it better than most things in this price range even dedicated graphics cards.

NOTE: in doing my research before buying this laptop i found this range typically has 1333mhz ram rather than the stated 1066, i decided 1066 was plenty fast enough considering what a bargain this laptop is but hoped the site was wrong: And it was! this laptop actually has 1333 ram :D

overall, this laptop seems very fast and solid in both build quality and hardware, its a good price for what it is, especially with the faster ram.

There was some confusion about the RAM specification on the G570 in many places on the Internet. Lenovo has the G570 specifcation as 1333MHz. Thanks for confirming that it came with 1333. That has actually influenced me to purchase, as I did. Amazon should correct the details on their specifcation. It's important because these days we want that little more bang for our buck and to purchase with confidence.
