Customer Review

on 17 May 2013
Unimaginably bad.

If you haven't yet paid your money - try and find a clip on YouTube. Then if you buy it, you have no-one but yourself to blame.

I love Wodehouse, I love the Blandings Castle stories, I like every actor in the show - but only in other things. This feels like a ham fisted attempt by BBC executives to "improve" on Wodehouse, by making it feel like it is by the same team as "Mrs Brown's Boys".

Sad, bad pantomime, with comedy effect noises when things fall off a shelf onto Lord Emsworth's head when he hides in a cupboard - and oh how we laughed... well, we didn't actually. We watched the first one hoping against hope that it would get better, but it really, really didn't.

If you like the original stories try and find a copy of Heavy Weather starring Peter O'Toole. Now that was classy...
