Barely coherent plot, confusing and disappointing to read,
This review is from: Nemo: Heart of Ice (Nemo Trilogy 1) (Hardcover)
I should have liked this book a lot. I mean a graphic novel starring the daughter of Captain Nemo combined with strong Lovecraftian elements. Perhaps the problem was in part that I was reading it in isolation. In any event I found the plot barely coherent and often confusing, and the ending exasperating. This was particularly the case in a section where the characters were disorientated, but it left me just thinking I had a copy with a printing or binding error. I also struggled to distinguish the different groups. On the plus side the art was pretty, though not always clear enough for me to understand what was going on. Overall very disappointing. INJ Culbard's Mountains of Madness graphic novel treats similar themes much more successfully.
