flimsy piece of kit - kiss your money goodbye,
bought this product, didn't even last 5 months, the front sheared off, was not dropped or anything. canon customer services totally useless, nothing is covered by their warranty, and one department doesn't know what the other one is doing, total nightmare and much much frustration.
takes nice pictures, but flimsy piece of equipment, so not worth the money. once something goes wrong, you can kiss your money goodbye. totally regret having bought it, and other canon products, as their customer service is just sooo atrocious. you'd think they run their shop out of a garage - well maybe they do...

Zara A says:
You are entitled to your money back. Demand your money back by fax, email or recorded delivery letter, citing 'not of merchantable quality' as your reason. Fax is best. Nothing gets action out of people like putting things in writing, in this case, your demand for your legal rights to be met. If you do phone and manage to get some sort of agreement for compensation, then always follow it up with something in writing, beginning "as discussed...". Personally I never bother with so-called customer service phonelines except to request their fax number for complaints!! Try it. Keep copies of all your paperwork for evidence (with evidence of dates letters/faxes were sent), and be prepared to use the small claims court. Good luck.
