Customer Review

on 17 November 2012
This is a brilliant book from one of the most experienced and politically committed immigration barristers around. Those who know little about the major cases and campaigns around asylum and immigration over the past few years will gain knowledge and insights press,TV and social media never give us.
Those of us involved in groups and organisations struggling for the rights and often lives, of real people caught up in what Frances calls the UK's 'monstrous' immigration and asylum system will learn a great deal from the book.
More importantly perhaps the book demonstrates that tough humanitarian values can be a bedrock for the practice of law and at times even justice.
