When this was due to come out I couldn't wait, I was in such awe of PG after his 3rd and 4th album's just took me to places no other albums had, and then I put this on. I was crest fallen, there were a couple of great songs on it, but much of it lacked bite or conviction and seemed aimed at the MTV generation. It obviously worked as it sold shed loads, but it was the same old story as happened with Bowie and Queen, the early 80's caused a severe downturn in the quality of their output, it was all aimed at having pop hits, and thus the music became less interesting. I haven't played this album in 20 years now, and have no desire to do so, but albums 3 and 4 still get a good run out. File under easy listening.
