Brilliant! Great for visitors, great for locals,
This review is from: Cheeky Walks in Brighton & Sussex, Revised Edition (Cheeky Guides) (Paperback)
I've lived in Brighton for nearly 12 years now, yet I know this book will point out the stories behind things I've walked pasted almost every week for 12 years and not noticed. Went on our first of the Brighton walks yesterday and it was great. I've read the introduction to all the walks and very much looking foward to them (haven't read the full walk descriptions as that would ruin the fun!). For those walks which start away from the town centre, the book really helpfully tells you what the best way to get from the centre of Brighton (Brighton Station) to the start of the walks is, what bus or train to catch. A lot of local walk books require you to have a car to get to starting points, something that not every visitor or Brightonian has (have you tried parking here?).
The descriptions of the walks have managed to get even my outdoor shy friends interested in a walk in and around Brighton, and that is saying something.
Great for visitors, great for a day trip, and equally as brilliant for locals. Well done and thank you to the authors!
