Customer Review

on 3 April 2013
I had a copy of this that was my mother's and lost it in a house move so was keen to find a replacement. If I hadn't really wanted to replace it I certainly wouldn't have paid around £18-00 for it as it just isn't worth it. One page was loose and it was in average condition. I think the high price is people cashing in on the Bake Off fever that is making everyone keen to get back to old fashioned baking. If that's what you want then this little book is ideal. It even has a recipe for Mock Cream! All those over a certain age will remember school dinners of jam tart and mock cream.

So you pays you money and takes your choice. It's a great little book and would suit beginners and maybe children as the recipes are straight forward if you don't mind working in lbs and ozs. My 2 star rating is for the price.
