Customer Review

on 4 October 2010
I was in two minds about buying and watching this latest Discworld offering; while Hogfather was okay as adaptations go, CoM set my teeth on edge with the numerous miscastings and changes to the story (once TwoFlowers becomes American, how can you adapt 'Interesting Times'?) so I was pessimistic about this latest Ankh-Morpork junket. Surprise, surprise, I enjoyed virtually every minute. As others have said, a blond Vetinari shocked me, but Charles Dance is otherwise very good indeed in the role. Claire Foy was superb as Adora while Tamsin Grieg was a wonderful Saccharissa and as for Andrew Sachs as Groat, he stole most of the scenes in which he was. Richard Coyle was okay, but not how I envisaged Moist.

All in all a very creditable effort.
