I'm afraid I haven't enjoyed this series as much as I would like to - awful photography with vaseline on the camera lense and the background all blurry. Since the financing of the series was taken over by the Americans, they seem to be insisting on a modern, gritty look consistent with the look of modern police dramas. This will be a fashion for a time then change. Oh, for the glory days of Brian Eastman for producer when you could see everything clearly in VIVID colours. This muted brown, black look in costumes etc is dreary and depressing. Check out Brian Eastman's excellent Murder on the Homefront.
