A full on steam generator iron set to Max! is my weapon of choice, however you don't always want to haul that out and set up the whole shooting match.
So this easy to use, attractive to look at, instantly accessible Perfect Care Azur steam iron is a good companion.
I do a great deal of ironing as I am in the hospitality business; I am constantly laundering sheets and household linen. Today I got my ironing board set up outside in the sunshine to give this new boy a good work out.
The T-ionicGlide sole plate is silky smooth, sensationally slick, clean and fast over the clothes. This is very impressive. Top Quality. I love the speed and shine the special soleplate gives.
The pointy end is a true arrow shape, very sharp, ideal for confidently cutting in around buttons on shirts and into the corners of duvet covers. The iron is comfortable in the hand.
The iron is straightforward and simple to use, it somehow detects the requirements of your laundry and adjusts accordingly. This is a mixed blessing as I am happy to be in charge of temperature, having it done for me wasn't a luxury I felt an urgent need for.
You are now unlikely to damage clothes inadvertently, the softest of wools, fragile items, and synthetics should survive.
The instruction booklet, Quick Start Guide and reassuring promise of good service from Phillips direct is well written and illustrated. Wait for the blue light to stop flashing before ironing or you may get water on the clothes. The slider should be set to Max (my favourite) push backwards for best results. There is a no steam (burst of steam with a cross through it) and eco function too.
There is no dead man's handle as it were; the steam continues to spurt out when the iron is resting on its heel.
The iron is heavier than I would appreciate for an overflowing laundry basket.
The iron arrives with many stickers, one on the soleplate, so don't neglect to take that on off (do as I say not as I did!).
