Overall a great alarm clock in a smart matt black finish with an effective blue backlight. It is quite tough to find a "dual alarm" clock which supports two separate alarm times that can be independently enabled/disabled, but this clock has that covered (although you cannot set a custom snooze time on this particular model). Initial setup is a doddle - just whack in some batteries and wait a few minutes for it to pick up the radio signal and automatically set the time and date. It also has a moon phase indicator, but I would have preferred to have a temperature sensor instead! The buttons have a nice responsive click to them, and should hopefully last a while. It has more advanced features where you can set foreign time zone differences and even a totally custom time, but for the average person I guess these are not going to be used. It is easily compact enough to take travelling.
A few specific notes:
- no batteries are provided, so you need 2 AAAs ready. - I tried 3 different pairs of high capacity rechargeable AAAs but none of them worked for me - the clock just beeps loudly but doesn't do anything. It's a shame to have to resort to alkaline batteries.
Overall a great value alarm clock with plenty of features.
UPDATE - A few days after I started using my clock, it completely broke - the screen went blank as if the batteries were flat, but it was actually dead. I got a rapid free replacement from Amazon, which seems to work fine even with rechargeable batteries, so my previous battery problems were probably due to the first faulty unit.
UPDATE 2 - Reduced rating from 4 stars to 3 stars due to the failure of multiple buttons less than a year after purchase.
