Customer Review

on 12 April 2006
Another good effort from the people who produce the Apollo Mission Reports. Although this is a pocket-sized book, it packs in a history of rockets: from 19th century pioneers through Robert Goddard, Werner Von Braun, NASA, Energia and today's latest ESA launch vehicles.

The first fifty pages describe describe the machines and some of the politics which culminated in the colossal Saturn 5 launcher and NASA's moon landings. The remaining fifty or so pages are given over to an excellent and rare selection of colour photos of just about every launcher the space enthusiast could wish to see, split by country or consortium.

Informative and visual, this is a great little reference to have at hand when reading other space books.
