This review is from: The Art of Bicycling: A Treasury of Poems (Paperback)
Firstly, this isn't a training guide, doesn't tell you how to fix your gears, and won't inspire you for your next tour. Well, it might manage the last, but you'll have to go looking for the inspiration.
I had hoped that this would be a collection of poems from well known and less well-known poets about bicycling. Instead it is a rather random collection of verse from some well-known writers, but a lot that I'd never heard of - perhaps that is because it has a predominantly American slant. One of my favourite poems by Louis McNeice never even rated a mention, so I could be prejudiced against it.
You'll be far better spending your pennies on The Literary Cyclist (Breakaway Books Series) by Kevin Schaeffer.
