Customer Review

on 12 June 2014
SHOULD you be unfortunate enough to need a bit of firm strength and support, plus allowing for flexibility for your ankle, this useful footwrap will provide stability, compression and allow movement, all in one handy form.

I wished I didn't HAVE to test it out, but following a recent ankle sprain, this is what I've been doing. And it is excellent. Once out of the icing and the rigidity of a partial leg brace which the physio had advised for the first few days when I needed to be out and about but avoiding any ankle wobble was crucial, I quickly gravitated to this.

I can see that some users have said it is too small yet i note that while one user said it was too small at mens' size 9/10 another has usefully worn it at size 11. I suspect this may have more to do with perhaps the width, rather than the length of the foot, as the beauty of this is that effectively, this is a flat-pack which you wrap over the ankle, and velcro secure, round and above the ankle, velcro secure, and then further secure in place over the ankle itself with two cross-wise pieces.

There is a small window from which the heel is left free, so the only size challenge seems to be if the foot and above ankle area were too broad for the velcro areas to meet.

What is brilliant about this, particularly for a still painful ankle, is that unlike a sock type structure, there is no painful squeezing and tugging of the foot into place, and you can adjust to the size of your swollen foot.

Sure, you won't be wearing this in tight fitting fashion shoes, but I've had far more freedom of shoes than with something like the leg brace.

I will soon be using this as support for starting jogging again, when the ankle is quite ready to be tested.

It fits right or left foot, and can be worn over socks, or over bare feet, and is machine washable. A great design, absolutely fit for purpose
