Incredible biography of a real hero,
This review is from: An Unsung Hero: Tom Crean - Antarctic Survivor (Hardcover)
Tom Crean was an Irishman from a humble background who played a pivotal role in three of the main expeditions from the golden era of Antartic exploration. In an age that had it's fair share of heroic exploits, Tom Crean's story is truly incredible and deserves to be told. The book is very well written and I found it compulsive reading. If you want to know what courage, honour, fortitude and determination can achieve, read this book.
Another book that I highly recommend from the same era is Endurance by Alfred Lansing
