I avoided this series when it was broadcast, but I'm very glad I bought this two series set. When America does TV well, it's done very well (and the opposite sadly!) and TSCC was really becoming very good when it stopped. A bit slow / unsure of itself to start, but as the cast got in to their roles, the plots and story lines became engrossing, and I watched the whole lot beginning to end in about a week. The story follows on from the timeline at the end of the second Terminator film, but as others have commented, DOES NOT feed into the third film. If you don't know this series, and view the first Terminator movies as being 'classics', don't expect the same non stop ultra fast action / shoot up / explosions etc. etc. There's a bit of that, but far more in the way of detailed character and plot development. The series got fairly poor reviews when it was broadcast, but a few years on and with the third film having been fairly average, and the fourth (I actually liked) not being a big favourite of fans, TSCC stands up well in its own right. In many ways, the end of this series was a great way of explaining John Connor's post apocolyptic existence.....
