Turn back the clock,
This review is from: Granny's Quilts of the 30s: Vintage Quilts of Yesterday Made New for Today (Paperback)
Good selection of 1930's type quilts, includes a butterfly friendship quilt, grandmothers fan, a basket quilt, flower garden, and brides bouquet. The book is well illustrated and has clear instructions for cutting, although Darlene Zimmerman always recommends her own tools, they aren't necessary and instructions for cutting without these are given.
I have made a couple of quilts from this and they've turned out fine. Included is a funny little Sunbonnet Sue applique quilt, and although I wouldn't want a whole quilt made this way, I may make a block and, if so, I'll upload this eventually. One applique quilt I shall make soon is the Peek a Boo basket quilt, baskets are old fashioned curved style and interspersed with nine patch blocks finishing with a scalloped edge. Good book, lots of choice.
