Good to be back on Kor Magna, and at the Dark Nebula Casino. Loved all the stories, especially Mina and Tannon's story. Short, but full of action, romance and hot scenes. A perfect intro to House of Rone, won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil it for other readers. Trust me, you'll enjoy Tannon. And Mina of course.
Stop ! This contains content you might already have read so please check as no one wants unhappy readers. That having been said welcome to my thoughts on yet another foray into the world that the Gladiators live in and the humans who have invaded their hearts and changed so much for the better. Desert Hunter is a quick read that pits a stubborn woman against a very well meaning hero who really shouldn’t underestimate her. This couple have been circling around each other but it takes a huge dose of cuteness and a lot of danger to finally see them where they belong and obviously that’s together ! This was previously published in the anthology Pets in Space. A Galactic Gladiators Christmas is really just a warm snippet that brings everyone we’ve got to know together on a very special day. It kind of is a thank you to the readers I think as it’s been a free read on the authors site but it also sets up for the possibility of more hostages been discovered and rescued in the future. Alien Hunter is the final offering and I can confirm it is all brand new and shiny so definitely not something you have read before. It catches up with Tannon the head of security at the casino and introduces Mina who is quite a conundrum. I found this intriguing and sexy too ! Though unfortunately the dialogue and descriptions at times felt very contemporary and well human to be blunt. Still I did enjoy the twist at the end and look forward to reading more set in this world. This is a voluntary take of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
I’m an avid reader of Anna’s books and she never lets u down I have read two of these short stories before but the third is new I really love the galactic gladiators books I really like the fact that they have really underestimated the women from earth. Mina thought she was from the desert she has come to work-in the Dark Nebula she’s struggling to live she then catches the eye of the head of security a man named Tannon he’s fallen for her and takes her to live with him she then helped to stop a bomb attack on a private party being held for the gladiators and as a result of the way Tannon defused the bomb with electricity she comes to realise that she has had her memories wiped and she actually is from earth and her memories are coming back memories of others that are here somewhere needing help can’t wait until the next book
3 short stories (2 may have been read in other collections, one is shiny and new). One is set in the desert and features some characters we've met before, but a whole new take on what it means to be a monster. One is a Christmas gathering - lots of familiar gladiators and their growing families - but avoiding saccherine as remember, what do alien gladiators know about Christmas! And the final one is an excellent introduction to the next series of stories set on this world - of course there will be new couples to be formed - but enjoy discovering the hidden depths of the head of security in the Dark Nebula casino - and how he meets his match.
This is an entertaining set of stories. The first two are about characters in the House of Galen series, and are as delightful as all the rest. The gladiators discovering Christmas is very funny. The last story is actually the introduction to the House of Rone series and I've been waiting impatiently for this to start. I wasn't disappointed. From this beginning I know just what to expect. Brilliantly expressed tales of adventure and romance.
Bren & Mersi is a republish from an anthology but Tannon and Mina is hot off the press. Sizzling hot and action packed as I've come to expect with a couple of nice surprises! I've loved the gladiators series and so pleased that the next spin off is underway in the House of Rhone.
