Missing parts and abysmal customer service.

My bed guard did not come with the screws that attach the vertical guard to the horizontal anchors. Upon contacting the seller they said simply to speak to amazon who will arrange a replacement. That was it. A two sentence reply (Is it because of the Chinese New Year, they just didn't care?). Except Amazon does not stock their product so the poor helpless agent advised us to purchase screws elsewhere.
We have a double divan which is why I had to use this specific product and not the shorter, cheaper ones. I did not want to return the item because my child already fell off so I could not afford to risk another night without a bed guard.
So my husband had to DIY a wooden anchor underneath our divan and nail it on. We tried without the screws and the bed rail slid out from under the mattress. So unfortunately I cannot comment on the inherent sturdiness of this bed rail. I'll have to attribute its sturdiness to my husbands DIY skills.
One thing it could do with, is a net running from the vertical guard itself down to the anchoring rails, so that if the child does fall in between the rail and the bed for whatever reason, then there is a literal safety net there.
The product itself is good. It was very easy to put together though, until I discovered it didn't have the screws. The fabric looks like a good make. It is also very high, so if you have curious babies learning to pull themselves up you can be confident they won't fall out.
You can't travel with this either, FYI. Unless you want to assemble and disassemble. For us we don't even have that option anymore, because it has been nailed on to our bed base.
Unfortunately if we needed another one to completely barricade the bed we would have to purchase the same one so they can be compatible. Here's hoping it will come with screws this time.
