Seriously good! Don't waste your money on competitors!

Worth every penny and more! I have thick, curly, frizzy, uncontrollable hair that grows in every which direction, fondly nicknamed 'the jew fro'. As a youth, hair straighteners weren't available, I have tried undercuts, relaxing products for Caribbean hair and in recent years turned to the Brazilian Blow Dry (which I can also highly recommend as being a life changer!) When GHD's came onto the market I bought a pair, and they changed my life, they were the best irons and no other straightener compared, so ever since I have always had 2 sets GHD's - an every day, and a backup/going away set. A couple of weeks ago I went to use my back up set and instead of running smoothly thru my hair they burnt it off, leaving me with a whole section of ruined hair, 1cm long. I threw them in the bin and turned to Amazon to replace them and after hours of consideration took the plunge and bought these Remingtons. My hairdresser uses Remington and swears by them, (if they are good enough for a top stylist in London's West End, surely they must be good?) Well, well, well, my main pair of GHD's have been relegated to the back of the cupboard and will become back ups. These are amazing, in fact they are better than GHD's, and I feel as someone with crazy untameable hair, who has used every incarnation of GHD (bar the latest Platinum range which seems to have poor reviews) I am qualified to make this statement. They are light weight, well balanced, the plates are smooth and don't trap the hair, and the controllable heat temp is a bonus, although the automatic 190 seems to be perfect for my luscious locks. I have been informed that in years gone by GHD were the best because they had technology the other companies didn't, however this technology is now caught up and you don't need to spend crazy prices to get a good pair of irons. The only weakness i'd say is that the little button that allows you to lock them closed isn't very good and they click open easily. However, that's a feature I'm not used to having anyway and makes no difference to me. Save your £££'s and go for these, you won't regret it!
