Wow.....what an ending to an amazing story! I couldn’t wait to see how ‘The Cornish Cream Tea Bus’ ended and it was a pleasure to be back in the company of Charlie and the gang.
Charlie has a massive decision to make....does she go back home to Ross-on-Wye and to The Cafe on the Hill or does she stay in Porthgolow and make a new life for herself, Marmite and Gertie??! The final part of this series is packed with even more drama than the previous parts. Put the parts together and you have a story full of unique characters, a lot of drama and not forgetting the idyllic setting of Porthgolow!
I am a huge fan of Charlie and I was totally engrossed in her journey of self discovery. There was also a great sense of community spirit who work incredible together. I was totally immersed in the development of Daniel and how his relationship would develop with Charlie, I highly recommend you find out! 😊
Cressida has found a huge fan as I find her writing packed with fine details that make you want to climb into her books ❤️ I give ‘The Cornish Cream Tea Bus’ as a whole 5*/5*
I had a few ideas of what I thought was going to happen at the end of this book and I was mostly right! I loved the ending and everything happened that should have, even though I got really worried at one point that something was going to happen to throw a spanner in the works. I’ve loved all four parts of this book and I’ve become very invested in all the characters until they almost feel like real people. I can just imagine going on holiday to Cornwall and coming across ‘Gertie’ and sampling a gorgeous cream tea! Cressida’s writing style is wonderful and she can set a scene with her words perfectly. Love love loved it!!
I have enjoyed all 4 books but wondered why the bus on the cover is a single decker and in the story it is a double decker. I would also like to say that some of the language was unnecessarily crude, we have enough words in our English language without resorting to the F*** word
I enjoyed the story. It had a feel good about it and set in beautiful Cornwall. The usual girl meets boy, boy infuriates girl, both realise that they have feelings for each other. They then have to endure misunderstandings and find a way to get together, which they do.
