Top critical review

I have read and enjoyed quite a few of Nick Alexander’s books. Partly because of this and the wonderful reviews it had received, I was really looking forward to settling down and getting into this book too. I must say that I didn’t. I found the tale to be very far-fetched and unbelievable, the writing clunky and didn’t like any of the characters. Laura and Becky were boring pains in the neck and deserved one another, Leif seemed weak, Conor a bully and Barach didn’t mean anything to me at all. Sorry, this may well be just how I was feeling at the time and am glad so many people enjoyed it. It will not, however, stop me reading more of Nick’s work in the future.
