As someone who has the same inherited illness at James Taylor I found this a very thought provoking book, that he had his career cut short could have been a disaster, but with his partner he has faced the future with confidence, and some of the remarks regarding fellow cricketers are an eye opener! Well done James!
James Taylor was an above average One day player and would have made a very good test player before he was knocked down by the pain. Good stories about his conversations about Pieterson and their very different attitudes. James was getting the best from his own skillset. His relationship with his family and his now wife are amazing. One thing that stands out for me is the great levels of medicine used to James Taylor. He and we should thank the improvements in medicine which help us all
James gas been assisted in penning an honest and open account of his life and subsequent problems with an honesty that makes you respect him and admire his bride for her courage. Good luck to them and strength to their arms in Fund raising for The Heart Foundation and also raising awareness that you you can continue living after a disaster and illness
Wow - James Taylor is such an inspirational and amazing chap, whose International cricket career was so cruelly ended way too soon due to health problems. Cut Short is a fantastic read, of his story that will touch and inspire every reader!! Well done James - fantastic!!!
I cried, I smiled, I am truly inspired by a man who didn't desire his lot but accepted it with good grace. James I wish you well, love hard and live long. Your hard might be weak but your resolve and outlook are an inspiration to anyone.
Having watched you play in the World Cup in Australia + New Zealand, staying in the same hotel in Wellington and watching a young boy have his photo taken with Stuart Board and then 2 minutes later with you, it put a smile on my face. A smile that I always had watching you play, a small man but with a big heart! Look after yourself and Jose and have a happy and long life together.
