Pretty, but disappointingly impractical in places
on 30 August 2018
This bag is very pretty, and it has lovely padded straps which make it comfy, but it’s nowhere near as roomy as many of the reviewers have said. I realise now this is because of the tapered design elements. The front pouch, which is supposed to fit three baby bottles, tapers off at the bottom, which pushes the wall of the pouch to protrude into the main compartment. Plus there’s no way you’d fit bottles in here and be able to zip the bag up. Especially if you’re using some of the taller bottles, like Dr Brown’s.
I’m lucky; I rarely need to take a bottle with me anywhere these days, as my little girl is 4 and the baby is 1, but I’m still disappointed. I was hoping to use the insulated front pouch as the baby’s lunch bag, but it’s so small, this is never going to happen.
Because all of the stuff from the front pouch sticks into the main compartment, everything is a bit of a squeeze in there too, but it’s ok for a few nappies, changes of clothing, wallet etc. I also love the little wet wipe/tissue compartment at the side - I’m hoping this will come in handy in wet wipe emergencies!
Overall, fine but disappointing given what other reviewers had said. If you’re a new parent, and especially if you’re bottle-feeding, I would steer clear. There are other, better bags.
