Not as orangey as the name would lead you to believe...
on 8 August 2018
Not half as bitter-orange-flavoured as I was expecting; and probably not as good (for me) as the slightly more easy-to-find 'Indian Lime' variant: called Rangpur?
So I may now and again add a dash of triple sec or Cointreau for extra orange-ness. But - it's fine! Not repulsive!
This orange gin might make it ideal for a Negroni, though, complementing the Campar (mainly)i and the Martini Rosso.
(All in exactly equal proportions, remember! And plenty of ice. And SIP it or be warned. ; - )
Meanwhile, the latest argument rages on about 'flavoured gins are like alcopops and shouldn't be called gin...'
The 'normal' and 'super-premium' Tanqueraysare both well recommended, and the more basic one is much better value. And it's stronger than many, so also better value when at a good price.
