Top critical review
Excellent phone, but my fingerprint reader stopped working.
16 August 2018
After 2 months of use, the Fingerprint reader just stopped working. No water spilled, no falls, nothing, just stopped working for no reason.
Warranty is still available, but they make me send my phone via mail and it could take something like 20 days to fix it.
I bought this Honor 9 Lite after my 2-year-old Nexus 5x died, and I wanted an "in between flagship" phone below £200.
I did my research and this one had excellent reviews and was quite new, plus it had two sims, 32gb internal storage, the fingerprint reader in the back and NFC, all I was looking for, under £200.
The phone works fine, fast enough for normal use like Whatsapp, maps, Gmail, city mapper, online banking, Netflix/youtube. I don't use social media or music players.
The screen is all I need, good colors, good resolution, although I've set it to 1080p in the setting to save battery.
The battery is also good, a day and a half of normal use. Charging it might take longer than expected, as it has no fast charging and it has a big battery.
