A RIVETING GOOD READ - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
28 January 2018
Oh Wow! If you have ever wanted to know what the life of a Junior Doctor is like, then this is the book to read! Tom Parsons writes with a self- deprecating sense of humour, which I found totally engaging from the very first page. His accounts of his experiences will evoke a whole range of emotions from the reader. I laughed out loud and I shared the empathy he showed towards patients enduring the most tragic of circumstances. Some of the descriptions of hospital procedures are portrayed in somewhat graphic detail but this is the every day life of a Junior Doctor and Tom does not spare us his many trials, tribulations and moments of epiphany as he realises that he has found his true path in life.
I highly recommend this book to all of those considering Medicine as a career and to all those who just enjoy a riveting good read!
