If just starting out and unsure where to begin, read Property Investment for Beginners (Rob Dix) to learn the lingo and how it all works in a nutshell. Then your second book would be this so you know where/how to start looking. Takes half an hour to an hour read - covers exactly what you need. The fact it's short makes it all the more useful (easy to look back on). Simple, no confusion, and some brilliant tips. I'm laughing at properties I was tempted by before reading this - I could have made some poor investments. Highly recommended.
It's a very short book but goes into detail regarding searches and things to consider when choosing an investment property. It's the first book I've read so far that's been so in depth regarding how to search.
I gave it 4 stars because I read this book in under a hour front to back.
But it's one of the more useful books I've read on property investment
A very practical guide, ideal for new investors or a reminder for the experienced when selecting properties to buy to let. Guidance on the best websites to use when conducting research and some basic formulas help you to identify the best deals once you have located he prime candidates. A condensed good read.
