If you're looking to fulfill a New Year's resolution to workout, this is for you as it has a "soft start" modifier track on the DVDs that significantly reduces the effort required while you build sufficient fitness to aim for really fit.
I followed the original Insanity workouts that were around 40 mins for the first month and 60 mins thereafter. That meant you couldn't use the shorter versions after the second month, so it got repetitive rather quickly.
I actually got the extended MAX:30 kit with two extra 15 min Abs and 15 min cardio workouts, as well as an additional 30 min workout, that's somewhere between the original Insanity series and these, as a new role with a longer commute meant I would struggle to fit in an hour long workout.
I can't recommend MAX:30 enough. It's a step up in fitness with a step down in the amount of your day it takes up. With a 10 min Ab Attack - great for a pre-commute workout to get the blood moving - and 30 min fitness workouts it really covers everything and you can keep repeating both month's sessions as they're all equally intense. With a 15 min cardio option as well, in the extended pack, I can always squeeze in a workout.
The only thing I may consider in future is signing up to Beach Body's one time only payment that allows access to all their workouts online, rather than just the set you purchased.
As a fan of Shaun T and owner of Insanity, Insanity:The Asylum, P90X and 22mins Hardcore, I knew this would be a stellar product. I wasn't wrong. Shaun T has managed to fit the intensity and effectiveness of Insanity into 30 minutes. I don't know what it is about this programme but I'm filled with equal measures of trepidation and expectation before starting a workout. As a student of the other aforementioned Beachbody workouts I thought this would be akin to the difference between P90X and 22 mins Hardcore. I was wrong, wrong, wrong. Less time, more intensity, greater results. Shaun T you a fool for this ....😲🤤😂
I haven't tried any of the workouts yet so this isn't a review about how that, but I bet they are amazing and challening. I'm writing this cause I saw someone else's review about some content was missing on some of the discs: Modifier Track and Ab Attack. So I decided to check all the discs and thankfully I had them all. I even checked the disc that has the Pulse workout just to be sure. Nothing is missing on my DVD's and they all work fine.
