Aperitivo is Kay Plunkett-Hogge's third book on drinks and snacks, completing an informal trilogy. And, to my mind, she's saved the best for last. It's packed with information on the origins of Campari and Vermouth, includes some delicious cocktails and features some 80 delicious-looking recipes. Several of these can be expanded into full meals as opposed to aperitivi snacks. I can't wait to make the stuffed mussels, the spaghetti in red wine and the fascinating Sardinian panada. Top marks.
