Light, neat and effective charger
14 January 2017
I chose this USB charger to have the convenience of charging from any USB supply - at home, in the car, from a powerbank. It is small and light making it easy to keep in the camera bag. The NP-95 battery fits snug in this charger and the sprung conductors make good contact wth the battery terminals. I have charged both an original, genuine, Fujifilm battery and a clone successfully. The LCD display appears to work correctly displaying just two segments for a part discharged battery and increasing the segments in a proportionate period. Time will tell if it continues to display correctly. The label on the rear of the device confirms that it outputs 4.2V 650ma. The instruction booklet confirms this but also says that it will charge 8.4V - I have no way of confirming this. Note that the charger must be connected to the USB supply before connecting the battery as the device does a self check which has worked consistently so far. First impressions are a neat, lightweight device. The plastic moulded case gives good close support to the micro USB port. I may unscrew the back to take a picture of the circuit board components after a few months.
